In a story that hits home hard for Lori & I, and anyone else dealing with a life-threatening illness, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled yesterday to uphold Oregon’s physician-assisted suicide law – essentially confirming that the Federal Government’s ill-founded attempts at regulating this contentious medical issue were beyond its legal jurisdiction.
For people like myself who believe that those with verified terminal illnesses should be allowed to die as they see fit, and on their own terms, this can only be seen as a huge victory.
